Jenni Bowlin Online Class

I signed up for an online class run by Jenni Bowlin and have been waiting for a little package from her studio with items to be used in projects to arrive. The first task was to create an 'Inspiration Board'. Well, as usual I haven't managed to find an old picture frame or flea market to get one from so decided to adapt a memo board. I painted the frame with bronze acrylic paint then stamped a swirly design with archival ink. Then I decided to use some old netty lace that was at my mums to cover the base. I added some lacy ribbon around and there you go ! We are to add things we find to the board along the way. The next thing was to do a layout incorporating an old vintage milk bottle top that was in the package from them. I found the perfect picture of Alex when he was little and used inspiration from Michelle Mogfords page we did last week and am quite pleased with managing to use the old bottle cap.

A lovely evening

I finished another layout from Craftystash yesterday. Then we spent the evening having a take away Indian and a few drinks with our good friends Deb and Paul. It was lovely to catch up with them again.I'm thinking that I might have a day making some cards for a change today as it's been such a long time since I made any, that's after shopping and chores of course !

Second layout

After a busy evening backwards and forwards taking son to work then dogs out for a walk, I decided to sit down and finish the second layout from the Craftystash crop at the weekend. The original had a lovely 'boy' photo with the title 'cheeky grin'. Over the weekend I had been sifting through a mound of old photos and had kept out some old ones of the boys when they were little. One of these was a school photo of the two youngest and I thought it would be perfect for the layout. I signed up for a Jenni Bowlin class last week and have the task of making an 'Inspiration Frame '/board, so am on the look out for an old vintage looking frame or board of some sort..hmmmm..

Craftystash Crop

A good day was had today at the Craftystash Crop at Welwyn - meeting up with friends again.
It seemed to go really quickly,I really enjoyed the layout we did - and I still have the second one to finish.
I can't believe how quickly these weekends go and that we are half way through July.
Sue had a lovely page kit designed my Michelle Jackson Mogford in her shop last week which I fell in love with and had to order -so I scrapped another one of my photoshoot photos with it- it's not exactly the same as the other one I blogged a while ago, just a slight difference in the angle - I just thought the photo went well with the layout and I love the pink ..

A Scrappy Day

I had a lovely time today at Scrapmates In the hall of this beautiful church in Enfield.
It was great to catch up with friends who were at the GoGo retreat again. There weren't so many of us today but it was a really nice relaxing day. I managed to get three pages done.
