My Time to Craft & Sunday Stampers Challenge

I have been meaning to take part in this challenge and this week decided to have some crafty time after hospital visits to Mum.The challenge is 'Tutti Frutti'- use something fruity ...well I couldn't find any grapey or orangey stamps so decided to use fruity colours instead. I used the K & Co 'Mira' papers and a Sugar Nellie stamp.

Sunday Stampers Challenge

I've not had much time to do any challenges lately and it was really nice to sit down and have a go at Helen's Sunday Stamper challenge. It was to make something with the theme ...faces. Here is mine, I started with a plain manilla tag and inked it with dabbers with a baby wipe, then blobbed some Ranger Acrylics over and rubbed them in with the baby wipe again. Then I used one of the new Tim Holtz ATC sized stamps and stamped it with Archival ink (using half of the stamp but stamping it both ends to cover the tag). Then I used two different sized face stamps from Paper Artsy.

Here's Dottie...

Well, I finally got round to making a 'Dottie'card - she is designed and drawn by the same lady 'Louly' http://craftsbylouly.blogspot.com/who designed 'George'.You can download her from http://www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/ I also made a couple of cards tonight with the K & Co Mira papers and a birthday ATC.
The Happy Birthday stamp is Penny Black

Here's a page I did this weekend - it's another one for the German trip album. Bless him- he wore his new hat everywhere we went, although he has been banned from wearing it if we go out anywhere around here! We went bowling for eldest son's birthday treat too and a good time was had by all

My first George !

One of the blogs I visit is by a very talented lady called Louly. http://craftsbylouly.blogspot.com/ She has hand drawn a fab design called 'Dottie' and has now added 'George' to her designs. You can download Dottie and George over at Charmed Cards and Crafts.I downloaded Dottie and George the other evening and George was perfect for my son's birthday card- isn't he great! I'm looking forward to making a Dottie card very soon - I love 'em and had great fun printing him and colouring him in.

Scrummy Stash Cafe Challenge

I had a go at the latest challenge over at the Scrummy Stash Cafe's Blog.
Vanessa has posted an idea and here is my version of it. I used DCWV 'Once Upon a Time' papers with some snap button thingies that I had laying around in the 'odds' box (can't remember where they came from!). I made an ATC too for the local craft shop's swap which was Monochrome this month - right up my street!

Scrap n Chat

Life is hectic at the moment, but I managed to get to Scrap N Chat with Carley last night and enjoyed getting a bit of crafty inspiration. The project was a booklet on whichever subject we liked so I chose pets. I was really pleased with the result and felt all inspired again and came home and did another page for the Germany album using the lovely K & Co papers.Might do another page tonight too!

Time Flies !

Haven't had much time for crafting lately as Mum has been in hospital so I've been backwards and forwards and life has flown by. It looks like she may be in for a while too.I won a case with scrapbook pages in it when I was away at a weekend ages ago and decided I needed a bit of craft-therapy so had a go at altering it with the Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks. I was fairly pleased with it but think I need to get some more keys and things to embellish it with. I made a couple of cards too and also did a lovely page at 'Scrap n Chat ' with Carley last time. We are doing a pet mini book next class so I'll need to get some photos of the dogs sorted!- I've got a few hundred to sift through :-)
