Hi everyone, its time for my second card reveal over on the  Stick it Down team blog.

Here is the sketch the team worked from.
This is the card I created from the sketch. I used papers and embellishments from the Dear Lizzy Star Gazer range.
If you head over to the blog, there are sketch challenges you can join in with for a single page layout, a double page layout and a card.

Hope it inspires you to have a go !

Happy Birthday A Card for Stick it Down Design Team

I'm thrilled to be revealing my first card for the Stick it Down  Design Team .

Above is the card I created using the sketch we were given this month .

I used papers and elements from the Turn the Page collection by Paige Evans for my card.
I stuck pretty rigidly to the sketch this month but might just be a bit more adventurous next month!

A little catch up with Kaisercraft

Hello everyone, back in Blogland with a little creation using some of the gorgeous Kaisercraft
Christmas Jewel Collection from Merly Impressions.

I punched around the edges and corners then used the little snowflakes that had been punched out on the layout as embellishments.
I die cut some ferns, foliage, swirls and a poinsettia from the papers to decorate around the photos.
I'm also doing lots of crochet at the moment, and loving it !
I made a star blanket for a little one expected very soon !

A little Mini Album and some Crochet Catch Up

Here we are one month into 2017 already. My little blog hasn't been updated lately so here I am to say hello and show you a little mini album I made using a gorgeous Kaisercraft collection called Ubud Dreams for Merly Impressions, and show you some of my crochet too.
This is a great collection,in some gorgeous colours - they were perfect for me to use some of the photos from one of our son's weddings last year ( wow was it last year already ?! )

I enjoyed playing around making this little book and it will be a lovely reminder of the wedding too.
I hope you are all good out there in blogland and if anyone is partaking in the crochet along that Lucy  from Attic24 is running at the moment here is a little piccy of how I'm gettting on with mine. I'm now into a lovely rhythm with it and am so enjoying each lovely colour. Its beginning to really feel like a blanket now as it's growing.

I posted a photo onto Instagram when I started and was amazed at how many other crochet a holics are taking part too - so lovely .
Have a great week everyone whatever you get up to.

And then ...both weddings were over

It seems like five minutes ago when we were given the news that two of our sons were engaged and had decided to get married one month apart..
That was over a year ago and now and  I find it hard to believe that both weddings have happened and they are now married men

I have started to do some pages with some of the photographs. This one I'm sharing today is using Barber Shoppe Collection from Kaisercraft and is a page I did for this month's  Merly Impressions Design Team blog
The papers are quite masculine and the colours having  blues and greys made them a perfect match for a photo of my three sons from the second wedding.
I used some texture paste through a cog stencil to add some texture on the background  and also some Tumbled Glass Distress Inks on the paste and to edge the large cog die.
The collection, paste and stencil can all be found in the shop at Merly Impressions.
I think there may be a few more pages to come  !

Recipes with Bon Appetit and Merly Impressions

Hello everyone - amidst all the chaos that is wedding fever here, I thought I would post a 6 x 4 mini book -recipe book I made recently for Merly Impressions using Kaisercraft Bon Appetit Collection.
I'm one of those people who has a little stash of scribbled recipes that I go to a lot stuffed into an old recipe book from when I was at school ( yes that long ago !)
I used lots of collectables together with papers and stickers

The collection has lots of little quotes and bits to use. I really got engrossed
The recipe cards are a perfect size to jot your favourites down

I created some pockets inside the front and back covers to add some more recipe cards
I had such fun  making this one - do check out the great collections over at Merly Impresions
Right, that's me all ready for the off now - wedding number two tomorrow .
I''ll be back with some pics of both very soon .Have a great weekend everyone.
